How is Denis Green Brass Jewelry made?  All brass jewelry is meticulously finished, with careful craftsmanship by Denis himself.

Learn about Brass

Brass is an alloy, containing copper and zinc.  As far back as 500 BC scientists have found evidence of brass. They feel brass was discovered accidentally when copper ore contained some zinc. The higher the percentage of zinc in brass, the stronger and harder the brass becomes.

Denis Green’s brass jewelry and other products are a “yellow brass” or “high brass” which is approximately 65% copper and 35% zinc.  This quality of brass gives his jewelry its beautiful luster. To insure quality detail, Denis’ jewelry is dye struck, steel-wooled, antiqued, polished and lacquered by hand.

Careful Craftsmanship

Each piece is dipped into a special lacquer which will help retard tarnishing if exposed to items such as gasoline, alcohol, acetone (fingernail polish remover), and various cosmetics.  To clean, simply wipe with a soft cloth.  The ear-wires and posts are surgical steel and hypoallergenic, with a flash gold plating on the ball and spring to complement the color of the earrings.
